Deanna is a Roanoke, Virginia native.  She has always loved animals, but had a passion for horses.  This love of horses led her to focus on equine care.  She owns two horses, one dog (rescued dalmation) and one cat.

Deanna has been riding since 1993 and participated as a volunteer trail guide at a local commercial horse farm.  She has worked with the mounted search and rescue team, and as an equine exercise assistant at a show farm in Southern California.  Deanna has also trained a few horses.  In her spare time, she enjoys trail riding with friends and family.

Deanna studied with
Equinology, Inc® to receive her certification as an Equine Body Worker.  This certification consists of 200+ hours of training.  In addition, she has 80+ hours of Myofascial Release training (MFR).  Equinology, Inc® is a school that has a group of highly trained, professional instructors.  They are dedicated to providing top notch courses and training in equine and canine health science and care.  She is pursuing additional training with Equinology, Inc® in order to offer additional specialized care.

She plans to add human massage to her practice in the spring of 2008.  This will be a great benefit to assist the horse and rider team!

Prior to starting her career as a Certified Equine Body Worker®, she served in the U.S. Navy as a Religious Program Specialist.  She earned the National Defense Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal.  Deanna was discharged from the U.S. Navy with an honorable discharge.  She is also a licensed life and health insurance agent in Virginia.  She has worked with a firm dedicated to executive benefits for key executives in the private business sector.
